2 CHRONICLES 7:14

IF MY PEOPLE
Whose people? Are other peoples not His?
WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME…
WOULD HUMBLE THEMSELVES… how does that happen?
PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE… how do we seek the face of a God who is Spirit? How would we find someone who has no physical nature?
TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS… what are they? And who in the today’s world, would stand up to the standard of a holy God?
THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN… are there conditions in God who loves us “unconditionally”?
I WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN…(sin/sins) what if I have committed an unpardonable sin?
AND HEAL THEIR LAND… What is it? What happens afterward?

The most effective way to answer this call (challenge) in order to see the healing of the land is by FASTING….

The purpose of fasting is to make ourselves available for the move of God. Instead of spending time to the table, we choose to tarry (spend time) in God’s presence. A prolonged fasting reduces our attraction to the physical desires (desires of the body) and enormously helps to be more sensitive to the voice of the Spirit and allows Him to effectively work in us.

But let’s first address these lines and questions:

I. YOU AND I ARE GOD’S PEOPLES: Those who have given their lives to Him by accepting His son Jesus-Christ. He is revealed in the bible as the “word” JOHN 1:12-14. Through His sacrificial blood on the cross- for God so loved us that He gave Jesus to die for us (JOHN 3:16)-we are God’s people by His blood covenant. That’s what is called His church. EPHESIANS 1:3-7.

II. WE, CHRISTIANS are called by God’s name. Every child bears the DAN of their parents. Unless you have someone DAN or were adopted by them, you can’t call them your father or mother. We were adopted by God through Jesus (EPHESIANS 1) and by Him we received the nature of God (this is what is known as the new birth experience) therefore we have His DNA. When the Christian faith first began in the early church, believers were not known (called) as Christians. It is in Antioch that peoples noticed a group of believers living a very different life from the rest of the people. Practicing the life principles of young Jewish rabbi know as Jesus-Christ who had just been crucified few years earlier, that they began calling them Christians (Acts 11:26); followers of Christ. Actually unlikely today it was a way of labeling them as fanatics, strange, perhaps a way of looking down on them.

III. THE WHOLE WORLD (PEOPLES) IS GOD’S CREATION but to be a God’s people (SONS AND DAUGHTERS) is only possible through Jesus-Christ. Just like all the USA residents can apply for a job but to run for a public office, you must be a US citizen and more to qualify for the office of the US president you must be born American and of American parents. It’s a matter of covenant. God is a God of covenant. Israel is God people through the covenant of God with Abraham (Genesis 12). Israel is a nation-descendant of Abraham. We are God’s people through the sacrifice of Jesus-Christ. Without Him no one can come to the father (God) JHON 14:6.

IV. HUMBLENESS IS THE ENTRY LEVEL FOR GOD’S FAVOR AND MERCY

God’s healing power is deeply influenced by humbleness. Before God can heal we must humble. Humbleness avails oneself to the move of God allowing the Spirit to flow without hindrance. The most effective way of humbling ourselves before God is by FASTING. This makes the body to be less in control and gives way for the spirit to be more available to the touch of God.

As we PRAY and SEEK GOD’S FACE in humbleness, prayer cease to be a hardship and becomes a passion. This way your spirit begins to grow and consequently you become Spirit driven rather than canal Christian. You obey God easily making it easier for Him to fulfill His plan in your life.

Seeking God’s face is simply paying without ceasing (1THESSALONIANS 5:17). This means praying until His will happens. When we seek Him diligently He rewards us” he heals our land” HEBREWS 11:6.
